Starting August 31 2016, secure email access is required
With increasing use of insecure WiFi connections
, and to ensure that your account logins and passwords are kept secure, starting August 31 2016, we will only allow access to email on secure, encrypted connections.
What does this mean for you?
Currently you are able to access your Monkey Business Email anyway you like, using the webmail, your desktop apps, and mobile devices. This is not going to change.
When using a desktop app like Thunderbird, or mobile devices like iPhone, you need to change your device settings to the secure POP, IMAP and SMTP ports listed below.
Secure PORTS for email access
IMAP - Use port 993 with SSL/TLS
POP - Use port 995 with SSL/TLS
SMTP - Use port 465 with SSL/TLS
Remember, insecure ports 143 (IMAP), 110 (POP) and 25 (SMTP) will continue to work until August 31 2016. At which point, we will disable these ports, and only allow access on the secure ports.
